The Hug Ring was designed by artist Leo Costelloe. Each ribbon begins as raw sterling silver, carefully shaped by our silversmiths to achieve its fluid, hybrid form. Our team adjusts each ribbon’s shape and then meticulously polishes them, one by one, creating subtle differences that celebrate the art of handcrafting. Every piece bears the mark of one of our team members, capturing the beauty of individual artistry.
The ring is designed as an open ring, with its design hugging the finger of the wearer. The ring can be adjusted to the wearer’s preferred size to ensure maximum comfort.
Leo Costelloe (b.1993) is an Irish-Australian artist living and working in London. His practice combines works in glass, metal, and silver, exploring the transient and sentimental nature of objects. Drawing inspiration from popular culture, spiritual practice, and personal experiences, Costelloe creates sculptural works that reside in a liminal space between beauty and banality.
Costelloe graduated from Central Saint Martins with a BA (Hons) in Jewellery Design.
